Job Description:
The City of Kirwin is seeking a dedicated part-time City Clerk/Library Director to join our team. The City Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining official records and ensuring the efficient operation of city council and day to day operations of the city. The library director oversees the daily operation of the library, works collaboratively with the board of trustees and the public to communicate the library’s mission. Questions, or to receive a detailed job description call 785-543-6652. Duties- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and archives. Prepare agendas and attend city council meetings to record minutes. Respond to inquiries from the public and city officials. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Provide administrative support to city officials as needed. Complete financial activities including budgeting, payroll, insurance, accounts receivable/payable and financial reports. Library- Plan, organize and direct the activities of the library. Attend and prepare for monthly board of trustee meetings. Maintain records and files. Exercise oversight of day-to-day financial activity, ensuring funds are recorded and deposited appropriately. Ensures the library complies with all CKLS standards. Qualifications- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively and independently. Proficient in data entry, proofreading, and phone etiquette. Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Experience or degree in accounting, finance or similar field. Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel and computers in general. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. |
