The duties and responsibilities of the county treasurer are set by state law.

The County Treasurer is an elected official. Our current County Treasurer, Bret Derr, took over this office in October of 2017. When visiting our office we will collect real estate, personal property, intangible and motor vehicle taxes. The Treasurer apportions and distributes such revenue to local taxing units. The Treasurer functions as a bank for all revenue-generating County departments. In addition; we process motor vehicle titles, registration renewals, lien releases and many more vehicle transactions.
